Not only young people but even the elderly can continue learning as long as they have the desire and determination.
Bachelor of Law Graduate at 77 Years Old
Recently, social media buzzed about a 77-year-old bachelor’s degree graduate from Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM).
In a video posted by TikTok user @uitm_channel, the elderly man, identified as Zulkifly Abdullah, successfully completed his Bachelor of Law degree.
“A 77-year-old man from the Bachelor of Law program, Faculty of Law, steps on stage to receive his scroll,” read the video caption.
Beaming with joy as he receives his scroll, applause fills the hall
In the video, Zulkifly is seen smiling as he ascends the stage to receive his scroll during UiTM’s 99th Convocation Ceremony recently.
Guests and fellow graduates in the convocation hall gave him a thunderous round of applause.

Zulkifly is the former Director-General of the Department of Trade Union Affairs
According to Kita Reporters, Zulkifly served as the Director-General of the Department of Trade Union Affairs under the Ministry of Human Resources for two years, from 2001 to 2003.
He also worked as a registrar at the Industrial Court for three years before assuming the position of director in the same department.
Since working with the Ministry of Human Resources for about 34 years, I was deeply involved in labor law. This inspired me to pursue a Bachelor’s Degree in Law.
Public praise: Age is no barrier to success
Looking at the comment section, many social media users praised Zulkifly for proving that age is not a barrier to seeking knowledge.
Besides congratulating him, many expressed how inspired they were by Zulkifly’s story, encouraging them not to give up on learning despite advancing in age.
Zulkifly is truly an inspiration. While many elderly people spend time playing with their grandchildren or resting at home, he actively pursued his degree.
