Motorcycle Collides With MPV In Pekan, Killing Three Siblings

The siblings were riding a motorcycle when it collided with a multi-purpose vehicle (MPV), resulting in their untimely death.

Three siblings tragically died in a fatal accident involving a motorcycle and a multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) in Pekan, Pahang.

The incident occurred on Saturday at Kilometer 7, Jalan Benta-Lamir, near Kampung Langgar.

The motorcycle, carrying Nik Ikram Idwan Nik Mohd Khairul Hisyam, 15, and his two younger siblings, Nik Nur Faqihah, 11, and Nik Ikram Nuqman, 5, collided with an MPV, resulting in the siblings’ death at the scene.

MPV Driver And Passengers Reported Safe With Minor Injuries

Pekan District Police Chief, Superintendent Mohd Zaidi Mat Zin, said the driver of the Nissan Serena type MPV and six passengers, aged between three and 65, were reported to be safe, with only three suffering minor injuries.

According to him, the initial investigation found that the accident was believed to have occurred when the MPV driver and passengers were travelling from the direction of Taman Jambu, the town leading to Kuantan.

The motorcycle ridden by the three brothers is believed to be on their way from Kampung Lamir towards their home in Kampung Langgar.

When arriving at the incident scene, the Modenas Kriss motorcycle ridden by the three brothers is believed to have lost control before skidding into the opposite lane and colliding with the MPV that came from the front.

Pekan District Police Chief, Superintendent Mohd Zaidi Mat Zin, on preliminary investigations of the accident.

The victims were taken to Hospital Pekan for further investigation, and the case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
