Chong Kaiqi, a Malim Nawar secondary school student, was presented with a Modenas Kriss 110 motorcycle worth more than RM4,000.

The motorcycle is her reward for outstanding performance in SPM.

The prize is a commitment by the Parents and Teachers Association (PIBG) and the school to appreciate students who excel in their studies.

State exco member Mohd Azlan Helmi presented the motorcycle during a ceremony at SMK Malim Nawar Hall.

School principal Mior Anuar Ghazali, PIBG chairman Hanif Abdul Rahman and school alumni Datuk Amirudin Hami were also present in the ceremony.

Kaiqi, now continuing her studies in accounting in Singapore, expressed gratitude for the gift and hopes that it will inspire future SPM candidates to strive better.

She gifted the 9A result and the motorcycle to her grandparents, who sacrificed a lot for her.

Meanwhile, Mohd Azlan, also the Tualang Sekah state assemblyman member, said that school development, especially from the digital and communication aspects, will be the main focus to enable access to learning without borders.

He pledged to donate a smart television to be used by Form 5 students throughout their teaching and learning sessions.
