Controversy erupted on social media after a photo showing the RM638,000 FF2 license plate on a Perodua Bezza was circulated online.

The FF2 license plate was bought in an e-bidding activity for the “FF” series of license plates, which recently achieved the highest revenue ever for the government.

The photo sparked debates among netizens about whether the owner of the expensive license plate should drive a more luxurious car.

Some netizens even claimed that the photo had been edited or that the license plate on the Bezza was actually “KFF 2”.

According to Perodua’s official website, the price of the Bezza ranges from RM34,000 to RM50,000, significantly less than the price of the FF2 license plate.

The Bezza is a national car model produced by Perodua, known for its affordability and practicality.

Some Netizens Claim Photo Has Been Edited, Or License Plate Is Different

However, some netizens pointed out that the license plate on the Bezza was not properly aligned with the Perodua logo, suggesting that the photo might have been modified.

The Minister of Transport Anthony Loke praised the success of the e-bidding activity for the “FF” series of license plates, which generated RM79.3 million in revenue.

The FF2 license plate was among the most sought-after plates due to its auspicious number combination.

The controversy over the photo of the Bezza with the FF2 license plate highlights the fascination and obsession with personalized license plates in Malaysia, where some plates can fetch exorbitant prices in auctions or private sales.
