As temperatures rise across many parts of the world, staying cool can be a challenge, especially for those who cannot afford air conditioning.

However, a university student in Malaysia known as Daniel has come up with a solution that costs only RM30.

He bought an ice box for RM17, ice for RM10 and salt for RM3.

Daniel recently shared his “DIY air conditioner” on social media.

The system uses a fan, a polystyrene box, ice cubes, two plastic bottles, and salt to create a cool breeze.

Depending on the ice cubes used, it can last 2-3 hours.

Plans To Improve The DIY Air Conditioning System

Daniel cut two holes in the box and placed the bottles inside to create the system.

He then put salt and ice cubes into the box and turned on the fan to blow cool air through the holes.

In an interview with mStar, Daniel said he came up with the idea because he and his roommates had trouble sleeping due to the heat.

He added that the DIY air conditioning system was cost-effective and effective at keeping them cool.

Because our room is very small, this DIY air conditioning makes us feel very cool.

Danial on the effectiveness of his invention.

He also plans to experiment with dry ice because it melts more slowly.
