Brawl Erupts At Scene Of Fatal Accident In Penang, Six Arrested

Police have advised the public not to spread video recordings of the incident.

A female street vendor was killed in a motorcycle accident in a residential area in Tanjung Bungah, Penang.

The victim was hit by a car from behind and died at the scene.

According to Oriental Daily, CCTV footage of the incident shows that several of the victim’s relatives attacked the driver and passenger of the car in front of police officers.

The incident occurred on 8 May and was recorded on video by bystanders.

Swift Police Action

The police arrested six people who were later released on bail to assist with the investigation.

The brawl is being investigated under Section 147 of the Penal Code for rioting.

They could face up to two years in prison, a fine, or both if found guilty.

The case is also investigated under Section 323 of the Penal Code for causing hurt.

If found guilty, they could face a sentence of up to one year in prison, a fine not exceeding RM2000, or both.

The police have advised the public not to spread video recordings of the incident to avoid unnecessary speculation.

The authorities also urge all road users to exercise caution and obey traffic laws to prevent similar incidents.
