An elderly person is persistent in earning a living by working as a food delivery rider.

In a viral video, the hunchbacked uncle drew the sympathy of netizens.

The uncle said he only rested when it was time to pray.

I break my fast and take it at this surau, Hartamas surau. I’ve eaten, I’m on (work) back. There’s no holiday (fasting month), there’s no rest. If you want to pray, just rest.

@hazwanhfiz Kesian pada masa yang sama cemburu dengan semangat pakcik Grabfood ni. Dalam bongkok² dia pun satu KL dia pusing cari rezeki bulan puasa ni.. Moga dipermudah segala urusan beliau. According to the netizen who posted the video, Hazwan Hafiz, he has encountered the elderly man several times around Mont Kiara and Hartamas.

The uncle takes a lot of food around that area on a motorbike, he told mStar.

According to Hazwan, even though he had met the rider, he never asked more about his family or children.

I also had a chat with him before, but it was more about asking about his condition, are there a lot of orders? Where to send them? That’s it.

Netizen Hazwan Hafiz on his interactions with the uncle.

Hazwan is impressed by the perseverance of the uncle who is still determined to earn a living despite his frailty and old age.

Many netizens also expressed their sympathy, not least those who wanted to track him down to offer help.

Meanwhile, some claimed that the uncle has a son who is too lazy to work.

They added that the uncle was previously working as a driver for a Datuk but he left the job due to late wages and racism.
