Taxi driver Noorazlan Ismail, 49, denied accusations by some parties that he was involved with a particular political party.

Noorazlan earned his 15 minutes of fame after claiming he walked an incredible distance from Skudai, Johor to Istana Negara.

He claimed to have walked 312 kilometres to demand for the withdrawal of Employee Provident Fund (KWSP) savings on a one-off basis for those affected financially.

In a live interview on Facebook with influencer Syarul Ema Rena Abu Samah or Ratu Naga, Noorazlan explained all the accusations and criticisms thrown at him.

According to him, the walk which began from the Skudai toll plaza was done of his own volition.

It happened without instruction or collaboration with political parties.

I did walk 312 kilometres from Skudai to Istana, so any party that says I have a ride from a politician or a driver, please show proof and tell me where the driver is.

On the issue of his family not supporting him and why he did not share any footage during the trip, Noorazlan calmly responded to the allegations.

He explained they are not with him on the journey because it is his mission, and he didn’t want them to bear the same burden.

My mother sent me to the Skudai Toll, so why are the allegations that my family were ashamed and did not allow me to do this mission?

Noorazlan claimed that after he reached Pagoh, there were a lot of incoming calls from certain parties.

For context, Pagoh is the constituency of former prime minister and Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) president Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin.

He was worried that someone would come and take him home, so he did not upload his current location on social media.

If something like that happens, then my efforts and mission to show the government that I am in distress will fail; that is why I did not show where I was, not for another reason.
