Former Prime Minister Muhyiddin Arrested, Confirms Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission

It is confirmed that Former Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin has been arrested by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC).
In a statement, MACC said the arrest took place at 1.00pm today at their headquarters in Putrajaya.
This is to assist in finalizing the investigation into the Jana Wibawa project and related issues.
MACC has also obtained approval from the Attorney General’s Chambers to charge Muhyiddin at the Kuala Lumpur Courts on March 10, 2023.
Muhyiddin, who is also the president of the Bersatu political party will face charges under Section 23 of the MACC Act 2009 and Section 4(1)b of The Anti-Money Laundering, Anti-Terrorism Financing and Proceeds of Unlawful Activities Act 2001 (AMLA).
