A driver tried to escape after hitting a divider at IOI City Mall in Putrajaya, one of the largest malls in Malaysia.

The driver, who appeared intoxicated, was driving a Porsche 911.

After crashing against a divider and hitting three cars at the mall’s valet parking, he tried to escape.

However, he was restrained by the auxiliary police and passersby.

In a video recording that had gone viral, the driver struggled in his steps, indicating he was drunk.

Many netizens shared the incident on social media.

They pointed out that the Porsche suffered minor damage while one of the cars hit, a Toyota Cross, was severely damaged.

Netizens also claimed that the drunk driver was a Dato.

The Star quoted Sepang OCPD Asst Comm Wan Kamarul Azran Wan Yusof as saying that the incident happened on Saturday (Jan 28).

Investigations showed that the Porsche driver was driving from Le Meridien Putrajaya to Cheras. He crashed into a road divider at the parking lot and lost control, leading to the collision with the three other cars.
