The owner of Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT) and Tunku Mahkota Johor (TMJ), Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim, has offered Khairy Jamaluddin to be the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of JDT.
TMJ made the offer on his Instagram Story page today after the former Rembau Member of Parliament and Umno Youth Leader was sacked from Umno recently.
In his message, Tunku Ismail wanted to appoint Khairy, better known as KJ, as the club’s CEO and the team’s grassroots development advisor.
TMJ wrote on his Instagram page: “Future JDT FC CEO and Johor Youth Adviser.”
Khairy is no stranger to sports, especially football.
Khairy was appointed Deputy President of the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) in 2007.
In addition, Khairy is also the former Minister of Youth and Sports from 2013 to 2018.
He inspired the National Football Development Program (NFDP) to produce talented young players who can be marketed abroad.

Meanwhile, Khairy replied to Tunku Ismail’s proposal in an Instagram story.
“One door closes, others will open. Rezeki ditangan Allah (sustenance is in the hand of Allah),” he replied.
The Umno supreme council sacked Khairy after he served the party for 23 years.
