WEATHER WARNING: States In Peninsular And East Malaysia Told To Brace For Flash Floods And Bad Weather
Seven states across Malaysia were told to prepare for bad weather.

Warnings of flash flooding have been issued for the states of Johor, Kelantan, Negeri Sembilan, Pahang, Penang, and Selangor, as well as for Sarawak.
According to National Disaster Management Agency (NADMA) and the Malaysian Meterology Department (METMalaysia), based on rain forecast information by METMalaysia , the Southeastern Asia-Oceania Flash Flood Guidance System (SAOFFGS), and the JPS Malaysia flood forecast model, there is a risk of flash floods in some locations if heavy rain or significant thunderstorms occur.

This preparedness notice is being distributed to ensure that all residents, particularly those living in areas that are at risk, are notified of any potential flash floods that may occur during that time period.

Meanwhile, METMalaysia’s significant weather forecast is through November 30th.
Thunderstorms and heavy rain with strong winds are expected to occur in the inland areas and west coast of the Peninsula, inland Sarawak, and west Sabah beginning November 25, 2022.
