GE15: MetMalaysia Warns Of Thunderstorms & Heavy Rain In 8 States
Warnings are issued when there are signs of storms with an intensity of over 20mm/hour or that last for over an hour.

Today (November 19, 2022) is a historic day for Malaysians who have come out to vote in the millions.

Additionally, statistics shared by the Election Commission (EC) stated that as of 2.00pm, 58% of registered voters have voted at their respective polling centres.

Thunderstorms & Heavy Rain Expected At States
The Malaysian Meteorological Department has released a warning of thunderstorms and heavy rain expected across 8 states.
According to the statement, heavy rain is expected across the entirety of Pulau Pinang and Terengganu.
The same warning was also made for certain parts of Kedah including Kubang Pasu, Kota Setar, Pokok Sena, Padang Terap, Sik, and Baling.
In Perak, storms are expected in Kerian, Larut, Matang, and Selama, Hulu Perak, Kuala Kangsar, Kinta, and Kampar.
Among the areas affected in Kelantan are Tumpat, Pasir Mas, Kota Bharu, Tanah Merah, Bachok, Machang, Pasir Puteh, and Kuala Krai.
In Pahang, Cameron Highlands, Lipis, Raub, Jerantut, and Kuantan are affected.
In East Malaysia, Sarawakians can expect storms in Serian, Samarahan, Betong, Sarikei (Pakan, Sarikei, and Meradong) as well as Mukah (Tanjung Manis and Daro) while Sabahans can expect storms in Sandakan (Beluran) and Kudat.
