What is more important, money or kindness?
Everyone can help in making the world a kinder and better place.
Wouldn’t the world be awesome if we could show kindness daily too?
Recently, a hawker saw that a fellow trader, who recently set up a stall next door to sell rice and various dishes, had been doing badly with no business.
The hawker couldn’t bear it and appealed to the public to patronize the other trader’s stall so that he, too, could earn money to support his family and make ends meet.
With the username @apitzaidi, the hawker posted his appeal on social media.

@apitzaidi, who hails from Sungai Petani, Kedah, wanted to help promote his neighbour’s business.
I am really grateful for the customers who have supported us all the way. If you come here tomorrow, you can buy food from the hawker next door to me, and then go to my stall to buy banana pancakes if you have extra money.
@apitzaidi selflessly calls on the public to buy from his fellow hawker.
The video has received more than 790,000 hits at the time of writing.
Netizens are moved by @apitzaidi’s selflessness, and they expressed hope that both businesses will flourish.
Kindness Begets Kindness
In an interview with the online media mStar, @apitzaidi said he just wanted to help the other party and was shocked when his business flourished.
After the video was uploaded, the business of the hawker next door improved, as did his own.
@apitzaidi was very touched by the support shown, especially when over 800 of his banana pancakes were sold out in just 4 hours.
After the video was uploaded, he revealed that many customers from different places showed their support, including those from out of state, such as Selangor, Perak and Penang.
