AKLEH, DUKE And Several Roads Around Kuala Lumpur Will Be Closed From 11-13 November

The Standard Chartered Marathon will see several routes closed and traffic diverted around Kuala Lumpur for three days.

A number of roads in and around Kuala Lumpur will be closed for the Standard Chartered Marathon from November 11–13, 2022.

The international-level race, which is expected to attract approximately 20,000 local and international runners, will include four categories: 5 kilometers (km), 10 kilometers (km), 21 kilometers (km) half marathon, and 42 kilometers (km) full marathon.

The KL Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department will be carrying out road closures and diversions to facilitate the race from 3am 12 November, according to Kuala Lumpur Police chief Datuk Azmi Abu Kassim, as reported by Bernama.

The closures and reopening of roads will be done in stages and everything should return to normal at about 11am on 13 November.

The AKLEH and DUKE highways will be closed at 11pm on 12 November.

People are concerned about their ability to commute and are seeking alternate options as a result of the breakdown of the LRT stations in that area.
