The Immigration Department said in a statement that the initiative aligns with the progress and development of today’s digital world.
The facility is available to applicants aged 13 years and above and is not applying for passports for the first time, except for senior citizens and people with disabilities (OKU).
It is also for individuals whose passport is lost or damaged and students aged 21 and under who wish to continue their study abroad.
The Immigration Department said it would roll out the service to all states.
