Rina Harun Slammed By Netizens For Photo Op With Bella, They Say That She’s Not Doing Her Job

Women, Family and Community Development Minister Datuk Seri Rina Harun, is no stranger to bad PR.
Last year, netizens heavily rebuked her during the flood tragedy that hit some states in Malaysia.
She was criticised for wearing high heels at a flood-relief centre and helping out in an already cleaned area.

Rina also received flak for organising a dinner to present flood donations at a luxury hotel in Kuala Lumpur.
Another Fumble For Rina
Most recently, Rina became the talk of netizens when she was accused of seeking publicity and a photo op with the child abuse victim, Bella.
A viral video on social media shows Rina seemingly ‘forcing’ Bella, who suffers from Down Syndrome, to pose for pictures.
The child looked uncomfortable.
She was abused by Rumah Bonda founder Siti Bainun Ahd Razali on a daily basis for almost four months between March 2021 and June last year.

Slammed For Being Slow To Act
Co-founder of the Chow Kit Foundation, Hartini Zainudin, slammed Rina for being a hypocrite and insincere.
He was quoted by Free Malaysia Today as saying that Rina only acted after Tunku Mahkota Johor, Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim and his wife, Che Puan Khaleeda, expressed concern about what happened to Bella.
