After more than two years of the Covid-19 pandemic, Malaysians might be seeing light at the end of the tunnel soon.
Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob has announced that the nation will enter the endemic phase starting 1 April 2022.
In a live broadcast today, Ismail said the wearing of masks in the public area will still be required.
The public must also continue to scan the MySejahtera app when entering indoor premises.
For The Love Of Food
At the same time, the food and beverage industry had much to rejoice as the limit on operation hours of eateries will be abolished.
This is good news indeed as Mamak eateries are a favourite hangout for most Malaysians during the wee hours of the morning, especially during football seasons.
Those who miss overseas travel will be able to move more freely as the international border will be reopened.
Furthermore, those who are fully vaccinated will no longer need to undergo quarantine.
All it takes is a PCR test before arrival and an RTK test after arrival.

Events Back In Full Swing
There is also good news for the MICE (meetings, incentives, conferences & exhibitions) industry as there will longer be capacity restrictions for events like conferences and weddings.
Restrictions for prayers at places of worship will also be eased, to be determined by the respective state religion department.
