In a recent US court trial, Goldman Sachs ex-banker Tim Leissner have revealed that he forked out USD10 million (RM41.9 million) to purchase a house in London to keep the 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB) scandal a secret after he was threatened by former Astro Malaysia Holdings Bhd Chief Executive Officer Datuk Rohana Rozhan.
Based on reports from Berita Harian, his relationship with Rohana lasted from 2003 to 2013.
Leissner was asked if he gave Rohana the amount of money he received from 1MDB and said that he had bought a house worth US10 million (RM41.9 million) in London.
The purchase was made back in 2013 after the woman threatened to reveal his involvement in the 1MDB scandal.

Kimora Lee Simmons is Leissner’s wife, who is also a former international model.
In 2018, he pleaded guilty to charges connected to 1MDB and agreed to work together to help investigations.
