Residents in 998 areas around the Klang Valley are once again reminded to prepare for the water supply disruptions for four days starting tomorrow.
The water supply disruption starts from 9am and will affect Petaling, Klang, Shah Alam, Gombak, Kuala Lumpur, Hulu Selangor, Kuala Langat and Kuala Selangor regions.
A list of areas that will experience scheduled water supply disruptions can be found at hentitugas.airselangor.com.
Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Air Selangor) had previously informed the public that water supply disruption was due to improvement and maintenance work on critical assets.
As part of the work, which had been approved by the National Water Services Commission (SPAN), the Sungai Selangor Water Treatment Plant Phase 1 (LRA SSP1) will be temporarily shut down.
The water supply disruption is expected to recover by 9pm on October 16 fully.
Air Selangor added that the improvement and maintenance work – which is to upgrade the water supply system for the convenience of consumers in the future – has been delayed from the original schedule in 2019 and 2020.
The delay was due to water pollution incidents that caused large-scale unscheduled water supply disruptions.
Air Selangor reminded affected customers to keep adequate water supply and use water prudently during this period of scheduled water supply disruption.
Users can also obtain information on scheduled water supply disruptions from time to time through Air Selangor’s official communication channels such as the Air Selangor application, Facebook, Instagram and Twitter or call Air Selangor at 15300.
Any questions and complaints can be submitted through the Help Centre at www.airselangor.com and the Air Selangor application.
