ICU Bed Capacity In Sabah, Kedah, Perak Is Now Over 100%, Says MOH

The occupancy rate for intensive care unit (ICU) beds to treat Covid-19 patients in Sabah, Kedah and Perak nak have exceeded 100%, according to Health Director-General Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah.
He said that Sabah’s ICU capacity as of yesterday was at 126%, followed by Kedah (121%), Perak (107%) and Perlis (100%).
As for nationwide, the Health DG shared that the ICU bed capacity has reached 90% with the use of non-ICU beds at 78%.
Many states were in the double digit region, except for Labuan which is at 0% as of yesterday.
The Health Ministry reported that out of 20,988 new cases reported yesterday, a total of 20,647 cases were in categories 1 and 2. This accounts for 98.4% of the total cases.
In total 1,417 more patients were admitted to the ICU yesterday, consisting of 1,001 confirmed Covid-19 infections and 416 suspected cases.
