“Vaccinate Everyone Instead Of Giving Booster Shots” Says Health DG
Booster shots won’t stop the spread of Delta.

Health Director General Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said in a Tweet that giving a booster shot to those with complete vaccination will not control the spread of the Delta variant.

He added that they way to control the spread of the Delta variant is to vaccinate the unvaccinated.
“We need to increase the coverage of vaccination in the country first, before considering booster shots,” he said.
No one is safe until everyone is safe.

The total national case count is now 1,616,244.
The death toll is now at 14,818.
As of 24 August, a total of 32,635,907 doses of vaccine have been administered.
Approximately 80.3% of adults have received their first dose, while 59.1% have completed their vaccinations.
