Pejuang intends to contest for around 120 Parliamentary seats in the next General Election, according to its founder Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad.
Speaking during an interview with Malaysian Insight, the two-time former Prime Minister and Langkawi MP hopes that they will get support from non-Malays.
We aim to contest up to 120 parliamentary seats in the next GE-15. But we hope that non-Malays will also support (us). Back in UMNO, I received a lot of support from Chinese, Indian people.

Utusan reported that Pejuang currently has three other MPs who are formerly from Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu):
- Jerlun MP, Datuk Seri Mukhriz Mahathir
- Kubang Pasu MP, Datuk Amiruddin Hamzah
- Sri Gading MP, Datuk Shahruddin Md. Salleh
Mahathir also predicts a tougher GE with multi-cornered fights and it’ll be difficult for any political coalition to gain a full majority.
He even vouched for his new party, Pejuang, saying that the party leader has no history of being involved in corruption.
A large number of our members are new, young faces and don’t have a bad track record.
