The Royal Malaysian Army has deployed more of its personnel in Klang Valley as part of the Greater Klang Valley Task Force (GKV TF) to help assist in fighting Covid-19.
According to a statement released on Facebook, the GKV TF is operating from separate locations – MAEPS, Serdang; Wardieburn Camp, Setapak; and Sungai Buloh Camp, Sungai Buloh.
These teams are will be performing three main tasks namely:
- the ‘Oxygen Carrier Team’ (OSCAR), which performs oxygen tank conversion.
- the ‘Rapid Resupply Team’ (RRT), which manages the delivery of oxygen tanks from the store to the wards.
- the ‘Body Management Team’ (BMT) is responsible for managing the transportation of the deceased.
The smooth deployment of the GKV TF team to date, shows that the coordination between TDM and the Ministry of Health Malaysia (MOH) has reached an understanding in the operational program. Hopefully this cooperation will give maximum impact to help the hospitals involved in the Klang Valley, able to reduce the death rate.
