[JUST IN] 20,596 New Cases Today (5 Aug) – Highest Since The Pandemic Began
Selangor still recorded the highest number of cases with cases exceeding 8,000.

Covid-19 infections in Malaysia have broken yet another record with 20,596 new cases, 777 more than yesterday’s.
As per the usual, the Ministry of Health confirmed the high number of cases in a tweet today.

This brings the total number of cases to 1,203,706 in Malaysia to date.
The following is a breakdown for each state (cumulative):
- Selangor – 8,549 (442,574)
- WP KL – 2,163 (133,588)
- Johor – 1,300 (96,687)
- Sabah – 1,062 (89,910)
- Sarawak – 759 (79,522)
- Negeri Sembilan – 989 (75,767)
- Kedah – 1,446 (52,103)
- Penang – 1,022 (49,939)
- Kelantan – 772 (46,695)
- Perak – 916 (41,665)
- Melaka – 622 (34,153)
- Pahang – 426 (27,199)
- Terengganu – 501 (19,213)
- WP Labuan – 15 (9,698)
- WP Putrajaya – 50 (4,237)
- Perlis – 4 (756)
Sehingga 5 Ogos 2021: Jumlah kes COVID-19 yang dilaporkan adalah 20,596 kes (1,203,706 kes).
