A 1-tonne truck carrying durian and travelling to Kuala Lumpur from Johor unfortunately overturned and spilled its load all over the highway.

1,000kg of the King of Fruits were unceremoniously ejected from the truck at the 279.9km mark of the North-South Expressway, near Nilai, about 7km from the Seremban rest and service area.

At around 1.55pm yesterday, the rear left tyre of the truck burst, causing its 25-year-old driver to lose control of the truck. The truck then skidded and overturned.

Both the driver and his 52-year-old attendant sustained minor shoulder injuries.

Nilai district police chief Mohd Fazley Ab Rahman said the case was being investigated under Rule 10 LN 166/59 of the Road Traffic Rules.
