Istana Negara announced that celebrations for the Yang di-Pertuan Agong (YDPA) Al-Sultan Abdullah Riáyatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah’s birthday, set to take place in June, will be postponed because of the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.
This will be the second time that the King’s birthday party has been suspended because of the plague.
The Head of State will be turning 62-years-old on 30 July 2021.
However, Malaysians will still get to enjoy the mandated public holiday in commemoration of His Majesty’s birthday on Monday, 7 June.
