Celebrities Allegedly Breached Covid-19 SOPs During Hari Raya And Netizens Are Not Happy

One of them was even called by the police to give a statement.

It seems that there were a few celebrities which have allegedly violated Covid-19 Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) during Hari Raya and netizens are not happy about it.

Senior Minister (Security), Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob previously, said the government decided previously that Muslims are not allowed to visit on Hari Raya Aidilfitri during the Movement Control Order (MCO).

Neelofa allegedly breached SOPs

Neelofa sparked controversy when she was accused of violating the standard operating procedure (SOP) of Aidilfitri by celebrating Hari Raya with more than 10 members of her family at a residence in Taman Tun Dr Ismail on May 13.

Based on reports from Utusan, the controversy began to spread after Neelofa’s sister Noor Nabila uploaded a video on Twitter which went viral.

The video allegedly showed her family members on the morning of Syawal, celebrating Hari Raya with each other.

It’s also reported by Harian Metro that the Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM) is currently investigating the video for alleged SOP violations.

Norman Hakim called by police

Norman Hakim is in hot water after sharing a festive moment with the family of his ex-wife, Abby Abadi and her husband and their children.

It’s reported by Malay Mail that his family will be called up to the police station soon to provide statements for allegedly flouting SOPs.

The police said a report was received a after the image of the family went viral on social media.

Rozita Che Wan’s family photos got people asking

Netizens were also unhappy with celebrity Rozita Che Wan for allegedly violating Covid-19 SOPs after she posted multiple pictures on Instagram of her family celebrating Hari Raya.

Some were questioning why many of her family members are gathering during Aidilfitri despite the restrictions set by the government.

Others were a bit more cynical with one Instagram user remarked that they might be living in the same house.
