Covid-19: 30 More Schools Shut Down In Selangor Today Including Klang, Gombak, Petaling & More

More Selangor schools have been ordered to shut down today due to the incidence of Covid-19 cases. This time, it is 30 schools.

According to Malaysiakini, the Selangor Education Department sent a circular to 30 headmasters and principals of primary and secondary schools instructing a two day shutdown (28 & 29 April) for contact tracing and sanitation.

The closure is to allow for screening of close contacts and risk evaluation by the district health department.

Though the circular instructed only two days of closure, the state education department stipulated that the schools must check with the district health officer on the need to extend the school closure.

In the meantime, lessons are to be conducted online.
