e-Filing For Income Tax Starts On 1 March, Says IRB

You can reset your e-Filing password in case you forgot.

Tax season is here as the Inland Revenue Board of Malaysia (IRB) announced that the submission of the Return Form for Remuneration Year 2020 and Year of Assessment 2020 through e-Filing for Forms E, BE, B, M, BT, MT, TF and TP can be done starting 1 March.

Taxpayers can access the e-Filing system through the IRB’s official portal at www.hasil.gov.my.

After that, you’ll have to click on MyTax on the top bar and search for ezHasil Services to do your e-Filing.

They said that those who want log in for the first time to the e-Filing system will need to get a PIN number by visiting their nearest IRB branch or via online through the Feedback Form on the their portal.

If you’ve forgotten your e-Filing password, you can reset it online – via e-mail or mobile phone number that’s registered with the IRB.

For those who are still having problems resetting their e-Filing password, they can call 03-8911 1000 (Domestic) / 603-8911 1100 (Overseas) or visit a nearby IRB branch.

This year, IRB estimates they will receive 530,000 E Forms and 3.27 million BE, B, BT, M and MT forms for Remuneration Year 2020.

IRB also advised taxpayers to submit the Return Form and pay their income tax within the prescribed period to avoid any penalty for late submission.
