Padang Rengas Member of Parliament (MP) Datuk Seri Mohammed Nazri Abdul Aziz is the latest Malaysian politician to catch Covid-19.
Speaking to Malaysiakini, Nazri said he took a Covid-19 test after discovering that he had been in close contact with an infected person during a press conference he held in Kuala Lumpur on 12 January.

Zaharin (Mohd Yasin) wrote in his blog that he tested positive for Covid-19. After I read that, I took a Covid-19 test and my results came back positive yesterday.

Umno blogger Datuk Zaharin Mohd Yasin announced he had tested positive for Covid-19 four days after Nazri’s press conference.
Malay Mail reports that Nazri has since been warded at Hospital Raja Perempuan Zainab in Kota Baru, Kelantan.
Nazri joins Senior Minister Datuk Seri Mustapa Mohamed, Women, Family & Community Development Minister Datuk Seri Rina Mohd Harun, and Gua Musang MP Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah as the politicians to test positive for Covid-19 in the past two weeks.
