Numerous high-end gyms and fitness centres around Klang Valley have announced temporary closures for disinfection and testing as staff and members have tested positive for Covid-19 over the New Year break.

Malaysiakini reports that Union Strength (Hartamas), Tribe Boxing Studio (Mont Kiara and Tropicana), Club Aloha (Sri Hartamas) and Revelation Republic (Taman Sea) have also confirmed Covid-19 positive cases.
According to the latest Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO) SOP released on 4th Jan 2021 by the National Security Council (MKN), it is not mandatory to wear a face mask for sports and recreation activities conducted either indoors or outdoors.
