There’s Now Six Hospitals In Klang Valley Which Have Infection Cases Among Frontliners, MOH Confirms

The Health Ministry has listed six hospitals in the Klang Valley which reported the highest number of Covid-19 infections among health workers.
They are:
- Hospital Tuanku Ampuan Rahimah (HTAR), Klang (54)
- Hospital Serdang (29)
- Hospital Sungai Buloh (15)
- Hospital Kuala Lumpur (10)
- Hospital Ampang (5)
- Hospital Selayang (4)
Based on tweet posted by the Ministry, the sharp increase in infection cases among health workers is closely linked to the increase in cases in the community.
MOH added that the situation is currently still under control and health services are operating as usual.
As a response to the increase in cases among health workers in Selangor, many hospitals in the state have followed Sabah’s footsteps in requiring patients to conduct pre-screenings, MalaysiaKini reported.
Selangor recorded 692 new cases yesterday, making the total number of cumulative cases now at 23,623.
Based on the data by the Health Ministry, there are 1,771 cumulative cases of Covid-19 infection among health workers – 1,359 (76.7%) of these cases occurred during the third wave of the pandemic.
