The Health Ministry reports three new Covid-19 clusters identified today. According to Health Director-General Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah, the three clusters involve Selangor, Kuala Lumpur, and Johor.
Jalan Lapan Cluster – Selangor and Kuala Lumpur
This cluster involves Ulu Langat in Selangor as well as Cheras, Kepong, Titiwangsa, and Lembah Pantai in Kuala Lumpur.
The index case (Case 59,246) tested positive on 25 November 2020 during the health ministry’s screening of individuals exhibiting symptoms.
Approximately 306 individuals have since been screened, with 25 of them testing positive as well.
Batu Sembilan Cluster – Selangor
This cluster involves Kuala Langat, Klang, Petaling and Kuala Selangor in Selangor.
The index case (Case 58,486) tested positive on 24 November 2020 during the health ministry’s screening of individuals exhibiting symptoms.
Approximately 83 individuals have since been screened with 19 of them testing positive as well.
Nibong Cluster – Johor
This cluster involves Johor Baru in Johor.
The index case (Case 63,151) tested positive on 28 November 2020 during the health ministry’s screening of individuals exhibiting symptoms.
Approximately 152 individuals have been screened with 10 of them testing positive.
Malaysia today recorded 1,212 new Covid-19 cases 1,212. The states with the highest number of new cases are Selangor (402), Sabah (326) and Negeri Sembilan (141).
Meanwhile, we also recorded 2,112 patients making full recoveries from the illness.
