Airline employees will receive support from the government in light of the pandemic-driven job losses, announced Finance Minister Datuk Seri Tengku Zafrul Tengku Aziz at today’s tabling of Budget 2021.
The Finance Minister explained that the government is aware that the tourism sector, especially aviation, is one of the most affected sectors this year.
Accordingly, the government will provide training programs and relocation of 8,000 employees from airline companies in Malaysia with an allocation of RM50 million for the scheme.
