Public transport services across the Klang Valley will be reduced until the end of the conditional movement control order (CMCO), starting today.
According to Chief Operating Officer of Prasarana Malaysia Berhad Group Datin Norlia Noah, there has been a decrease in passengers lately due to the on-going CMCO.
In light of this, the Ministry of Transport has allowed the company to reduce the frequency of public transport vehicles to meet the current demand.
Based on data, the trend shows that the number of passengers is decreasing, including during peak hours. Passengers during off-peak hours, although remain the same, the numbers are extremely low.

This includes all trains, such as the LRT, MRT, and monorail services, as well as the Rapid KL buses and Jom Naik MRT shuttle buses.
The LRT, MRT, and monorail services will continue to operate at its usual times, from 6 am to midnight daily. Only the frequency of trains arriving at the station will be changed according to time and demand.
Though, the set frequency is merely a guide and trains will be added if the number of passengers increases, said Norlia.
The operation of our trains on all routes will be closely monitored by the operations control centre, which was empowered to add trains if needed to meet the increase in demand at certain times.
