Selangor Chief Minister Amirudin Shari has made a personal visit to Sungai Selangor Phase 2 after the announcement of massive water cuts across Klang Valley again.
The cuts happened as pollution of raw water resources were detected in Sungai Selangor at 2am this morning. Pollution recovery efforts are currently in full swing to remove the pollutants from the water.
The pollution rate earlier today was at 1 TON, and regular water supply cannot resume until the readings drop to 0 TON.
However, the good news is that according to current readings, the pollution is expected to be removed by this afternoon.
Once the water is cleaned up and ready, supply will resume in stages, so it may still take a while for you to have running water again.
Amirudin also noted that a police report has been lodged regarding the pollution and that an investigation is underway.
