Covid-19: 871 New Cases Today, 701 Recoveries

Malaysia has broken its own record again with 871 new cases of Covid-19 announced today. Worst still, all the new cases were local transmissions.

For the second day in a row, Malaysia has recorded the highest number of new Covid-19 cases with 871 new cases of Covid-19 announced today, 2 more than the 869 new cases recorded yesterday.

Of the 871 cases, 866 were local transmissions and 5 were imports. Yesterday’s new cases were all local transmissions.

Malaysia also has 86 patients in intensive care with 28 requiring ventilators.

While 7 deaths were recorded today, in better news, 701 patients recovered from the pandemic. The highest ever since the start of the pandemic.

As such, out of the 20,498 cases confirmed in Malaysia, 7,049 are still active and 13,262 have recovered.
