Here’s A List Of Places In Klang Valley With Confirmed Covid-19 Cases

Those presenting Covid-19 symptoms are advised to seek immediate care.

As Malaysia faces the 3rd wave of the Covid-19 pandemic, several locations in Klang Valley have confirmed reports of exposure with infected patients.

These places have been temporarily closed to facilitate contact tracing and disinfection.

Here’s a quick list of places with confirmed Covid-19 cases, beginning October;

1Utama Shopping Center, Petaling Jaya

According to a statement, an employee at Parkson Elite 1Utama was tested positive for coronavirus and was asymptomatic or not showing signs of Covid-19 .

The entire mall was ordered to close on October 11. Anyone who visited Parkson Elite 1Utama or the Mac City Service Centre between September 25 till October 7 are advised to contact the Petaling Jaya Health Department for more details.

Subang Airport Mosque

All religious activities and congregational prayers at the Sultan Abdul Aziz Airport Mosque are suspended from October 8, 2020, onward due to Covid-19 concerns.

It was reported that a member of the Friday prayer congregation on October 2 was confirmed positive for the coronavirus. A total of 1,310 people were part of the congregation on that day and were advised to undergo screening.

Brands Outlet, Paradigm Mall. Petaling Jaya

A staff at Brands Outlet clothing store tested positive for Covid-19 on October 5, after which the store was temporarily closed for cleaning. It’s said that 15 of the store’s employees were quarantined and awaiting tests results.

The store was reopened on October 7.

Sime Darby Property HQ, Ara Damansara

The Sime Darby Property headquarters was said to close for disinfection after an employee who came to work on October 2 tested positive for coronavirus.

The patient is currently undergoing treatment at a public hospital and those exposed to him have been advised to quarantine themselves and seek treatment if they become symptomatic.

Pestech International Bhd, Oasis Damansara

An employee from Pestech International Berhad located at the Meritus Tower in Oasis Corporate Park, Petaling Jaya reportedly tested positive on October 7.

It’s noted that the patient last visited the building on October 5.

Anyone who visited the building and show symptoms of Covid-19 is advised to seek immediate care.

Fitness First, Setia Alam Mall, Shah Alam

A gym member at Fitness First, Setia Alam Mall tested positive for coronavirus on October 7. The patient reportedly visited the gym at 8 pm, October 2.

The gym is said to be closed till October 9 for cleaning.

Tropicana Golf Club & Country Resort, Petaling Jaya

News reports say that five employees from the Tropicana Golf Club and Country Resort (TGCR) in Tropicana Petaling Jaya were confirmed positive for Covid-19.

However, in a statement dated October 7, TGCR Management said that only two of its staff were tested positive for coronavirus and that both individuals have not visited the club since September 17.

It said that both patients went on separate trips to Sabah and had been on home quarantine since returning on September 26. Everyone who was in close contact with the two patients has tested negative for Covid-19.

TGCR Management clarified that those infected were none of its golf caddies or anyone who worked for the F&B team.
