CMCO Across 4 Sabah Districts Extended, TEMCO Enforced In 6 Red Zones

The government will be expanding the Movement Control Order (MCO) in several areas across Sabah in efforts to curb the spread of Covid-19.
During a live press conference from self-isolation, Senior Minister (Defence) Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob announced that the Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO) in 4 districts across Sabah would be extended till October 26.
Additionally, the government will be enforcing a Targeted Enhanced Movement Control Order (TEMCO) in 6 localities that have been classified as Covid-19 red zones in the district of Semporna and Kunak.
Some 35,000 residents will be placed under a total lockdown from October 11 till October 24, where stay-at-home orders are fully in effect and all business, service and outdoor activities are prohibited, except for emergencies;

Ismail Sabri said that the Sabah state government will be providing food and supplies to residents affected by the TEMCO as well as conducting Covid-19 screenings in the area.
The minister also added that the government will be changing Covid-19 standard operating procedures (SOP) whenever necessary on a case-by-case basis.
