The index patients (Case 13061, Case 13065 and Case 13069) tested positive for the coronavirus on 5 October after returning for Sabah. Close contact detection revealed two more infections in Perak.
Selangor exco member Ng Sze Han posted on Facebook that the new cluster was a result of relatives visiting a person under quarantine at his Puchong home.
He was on home quarantine, but his relatives in Perak visited him and stayed with him and they too became positive.

He also claims that the new cluster does not mean an uncontrollable outbreak in Puchong.
Ng explains that the Bah Puchong Cluster’s name is derived from an index patient’s home in Puchong, and that the patient came back from Sabah.
This cluster is named “Bah Puchong” because someone who lives in Puchong came back from Sabah.

Those infected in this cluster have been admitted to Hospital Sungai Buloh, Selangor and Hospital Raja Permaisuri Bainun, Perak.
According to the Health Ministry, 39 close contacts have been screened in Perak and Selangor. The results of 34 tests are still pending and the source of infection is still being investigated.
