Rihanna is facing a lot of backlash from Muslim Twitter users across the globe over one of her recent Savage X Fenty fashion shows.

The Barbadian singer is being accused of disrespecting the values of Islam and Prophet Muhammad due to a song that was used during her fashion show.

The song at the centre of this controversy is called “Doom”, which was created more than two years ago by London-based music producer Coucou Chloe.

The song reportedly samples vocals of a Hadith being read in Arabic. The Hadith in question is about the signs of the day of judgement.

The Hadith is the collected traditions of the Prophet Muhammad, based on his sayings and actions, with accounts of his daily practice, which make up the sunnah. It constitutes one of the major sources of guidance for Muslims, apart from the Quran.

The Hadiths relate to a broad range of subjects, from theological concerns, such as revelation and the nature of God, to instructions on daily worship and rituals, to legal advice.

At the time of writing, Rihanna and her team have yet to respond to the backlash.
