A staff from Mac City Service Centre (Lot S330, 2nd Floor) in 1 Utama shopping centre has tested positive for Covid-19, according to an official announcement.
However, weekend shoppers need not panic, because that staff has not entered the mall since 30th September (last Wednesday). The staff is now in a government hospital for treatment.
1 Utama management notes that this is the first isolated case to happen in the mall. They have put in place early mitigation steps and public safety measures to ensure that the mall is safeguarded.
All co-workers of the affected staff from Mac City have been placed under strict quarantine, and the shop has been closed for deep cleaning and sanitization. Additionally, common public areas like toilets, escalators, lifts have been sanitized and disinfected.
