United States (US) President Donald Trump was confirmed positive for Covid-19.
The President tweeted that he and the First Lady, Melania Trump, had tested positive for the coronavirus and are now recovering.
The news comes after Trump previously mentioned that he and his wife would be placed under quarantine after one of his advisors, Hope Hicks, was found to be infected.
Tonight, @FLOTUS and I tested positive for COVID-19. We will begin our quarantine and recovery process immediately. We will get through this TOGETHER!

Trump and his team had reportedly been travelling across the US to campaign for the country’s upcoming elections on November 3, 2020.
