The Higher Education Ministry (MOHE) has announced that all classes at higher education institutions (IPT) will be held 100% online, while physical registration of students for the upcoming semester has been postponed.
The announcement came out at the same time thousands of students across the nation are on the way to their campuses.
In a statement released at noon today, MOHE says that it is aware of the views and concerns voiced by students, parents and the community in regards to the increase in Covid-19 cases just a few days before the intake of new students into universities and colleges.
Therefore, MOHE recommends all IPT to postpone the physical registration of new and old students to campus. All student registration matters can be done online, as well as teaching and learning sessions until further notice.

Many comments by furious students detail that those already on the way back to campus were left in the lurch as they were forced to turn back while others are struggling to find transportation back home.
Tickets are burn and students waiting for TNC approval just to be back by 12 Oct only to find out things are obsolete & void by now, all under short sighted and shallow vision being so short noticed and agonisingly slow and defective #MenteriKPTsilaletakjawatan
