UiTM Convos By Invite Only Until Early Next Year

In line with the times, Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) will be awarding diplomas and degrees by invitation only to reduce the risk of Covid-19.
The university’s Vice Chancellor Prof Emeritus Datuk Mohd Azraai Kassim said the measure was taken due to a recent spike in coronavirus cases.
He said that would be implemented from 7 November until 9 January next year from 8am to 5pm, and will be subject to changes.
The initiative introduced takes into account various aspects related to 4K and in accordance with the standard operating procedure (SOP) of the Ministry of Health Malaysia, the National Security Council and Ministry of Higher Education.

4K is referred to as keselamatan, kesihatan, kebajikan dan keselesaan or safety, health, welfare and comfort.
It’s reported that convocations would be held at UiTM Shah Alam and also the branch campus based on the selection of the nearest campus by the graduates, regardless of their place of study.
Although measures have been added, the university said students can still wear their robes, take pictures and also receive their scrolls just like conventional convocations.
