Somehow it feels like October is the month of dues.

September 30 is the deadline for Malaysians to renew their driving licences and road tax which expired during the Movement Control Order (MCO) period.

The Road Transport Department (JPJ) reminds more than 2 million road users that today is the last day of exemption for their expired on-the-road documentation.

JPJ requests road users to complete their renewals as soon as possible, following around 6 months of extended exemptions during the MCO.

Additionally, September 30 would also be the last day that road users would get to pay off their non-compoundable summons at a 70% discount.

Malaysians can proceed to pay off their summons at any JPJ outlets and kiosks nationwide or online via JPJ’s mobile application or the mySIKAP portal.

Summons could also be paid with the MyEG payment service platform.

If you’re not sure that you have an outstanding JPJ summon, online enquiries can be made on the JPJ website, HERE, by imputing your MyKad identification number or your vehicle’s license plate registration.
