Istana Negara announced today that Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah’s condition has rapidly improved and will be discharged from Insititut Jantung Negara (IJN) soon.

In a media statement, Istana Negara explained that the YDPA was admitted on 21 September due to food poisoning and an MRI revealed that he had suffered from injuries to his knees and ankle from sports activities.

The palace assured that the King’s treatments were successful and that he was deeply touched and thankful for the public’s concern and prayers for his well-being.

In light of the recent spike of Covid-19 cases, His Majesty also advised that the public take care of their own health as well, and remain vigilant while adhering to the health SOPs in place.
