Five CIMB Mobile Sales Force (MSF) staff in Kota Damansara came into close contact with a confirmed Covid-19 patient earlier this week. They have since been transferred to Sungai Buloh Hospital for Covid-19 testing and are undergoing quarantine for the time being until their results are released.
However, CIMB branches in Kota Damasara and TTDI will still remain open as the five MSF staff have not been in contact with any of the branch staff there.
CIMB also notes that the bank branches and the MSF centres are on separate floors, so there’s no overlap in staff.
While that may be so, they have engaged in precautionary measures to thoroughly sanitise and deep clean the branches to ensure the safety of their staff and customers.
This comes hot on the heels of UOB bank Kepong which had an employee who was confirmed to have Covid-19, leading to viral photos of Ministry of Health (KKM) staff in hazmat suits at the branch.
