Angkatan Muda Keadilan Malaysia is alleging that there is no record of Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin’s party, Perikatan Nasional, being registered with the Department of Registration of Societies Malaysia (ROS).

According to its deputy chief Syed Badli Shah Syed Osman, he checked for himself on the website at 2.22am this morning (14 September) and found no record of the political party.

He said he checked for parties named “Perikatan Nasional” and “Prikatan Nasional” but didn’t find a single trace of the party being registered.

Therefore, I urge ROS to provide some clarification on the registration status of the PN party.

Syed shared that according to the media, Perikatan Nasional had already applied for their registration by 20 August 2020.

We made a quick search on Google too, and according to a report by The Star Online on 24 August, Muhyiddin was supposed to make an announcement on the registration status of his party “soon”.

Syed highlighted that if it’s true that Perikatan Nasional has yet to be registered, that would mean all candidates contesting in the current Sabah state election under the Perikatan Nasional party must be disqualified.
